This is book t o in the Lucani Lovers series. This is the story of Nic and Duke, two warriors for the Lucani. They have both loved the same girl since they we 18 years old. Her name is Tira, she is a seer. She saw Nic's death when she was 18 and she has stayed away from the two men she loves because in that vision Nic dies and Duke turns away from her. She thinks living alone is better than losing them both. Nic has had enough when a house almost kills him when it is blown up. He sets into motion a plan that will make or break them as a triad. If the next books keep getting better, I'm not sure I won't stay up all night reading. Lol.
Nic and Duke were raised together as brothers and have shared a lifelong emotional bond making them inseparable. They've also been in love with the same woman for the past eight years.
Tira is a witch that has a special ability to foresee certain peoples futures when she touches them. While her ability is considered a gift, it has also served as a curse for her. Although she cannot see Duke's future when she touches him, she can see Nic's. When she touched Nic eight years ago, she foresaw his horrific death. Knowing she could never have a relationship with Nic and Duke without reliving Nic's death over and over she turned her back on the two men she loved hoping they would move on and find love in other relationships.
When Nic and Duke are hurt in an explosion and Nic is nearly killed, the three of them are forced to face their feelings for each other. After eight years, they are still in love, yet a relationship seems impossible. Nic realizes that although his time is short, he wants to spend the rest of his life in a relationship with Tira and Duke and devises a plan to make it happen. Unfortunately, he doesn't share his plan, which creates confusion and tension between the three of them.
This three-way relationship is presented with what seems to be impossible physical obstacles, but there are also emotional issues to overcome. Nic encourages Duke to seek out a physical relationship Tira, but Duke is conflicted. He's masked his feelings for Tira all these years with anger, feeling that Nic is the man she truly loves. Not wanting to betray his bond with Nic, he has kept Tira at a distance although he truly loves her.
Nic, Duke and Tira as a threesome were likeable however Tira was not the strong take charge heroine I'd hoped for. She was forced into making life changing decisions and felt like a victim most of the time. To her credit she did step up and face her fear of her own destiny however she wasn't a character I felt connected with. I much preferred the stronger more charismatic personalities of Nic and Duke, as both characters managed to stand out on their own.
While I enjoyed the relationship aspect of this story, I had a problem with how it all wrapped up. There was a nice action packed confrontation in the end, but I felt let down in how the ultimate problem was solved. Since Nic's character was strong, and his personality more on the aggressive side, I wished he would have taken a more proactive role in creating his own destiny.
Stephanie Julian creates a very loving and convincing three-way relationship in Moonlight Menage. Because of the very close bond that Nic and Duke share, they are able to love the same woman without jealousy and each member of this trio seems truly dedicated to loving and supporting each other. Since Nic, Tira and Duke have been denied their physical relationship for so long, when they do come together as a threesome it's very sexy, and exciting.
This second installment in the Lucani Lovers series is an enjoyable and sexy read, with some exciting action packed scenes. Although the ending felt a bit anti-climactic, I liked the three way relationship and I look forward to more from Ms. Julian's world of sexy shifters.
It's lite, but is the softest then any 2" I have owned.

Very sexy book I loved it I'm not a big reader but this book kept me interested and wanting to read more it took me 2 days to finish it because I couldn't stop reading
This book was great and I really couldn't put it down. It was different from other shifter books I've read and I couldn't wait to see how it would end. I'm anxious to read the next book in the series as the first two have been terrific!
Tira truly believes her Gift is more curse than anything. She knows that she wants to be with both Nic and Duke. She knows that both Nic and Duke reciprocate these feelings. She knows that both men want to be with her in a relationship where they all three enjoy the pleasures they have to share. Nic, Duke, and Tira are all on the same page when it comes to fulfilling their desires.
The problem that keeps this trio apart, Tira can't touch Nic. Every time she touches him she sees his death. Then she sees Duke push her away because he has lost his best friend. They have spent the past eight years avoiding each other.
Duke and Nic have very dangerous jobs within the lucani. When they have a close call with death this dire event leaves the trio questioning their distance. This is the push they needed to finally give in and see to their desires. They are determined to make the relationship work by any means possible.
I loved this novella. The first time that Nic, Tira, and Duke are all three together has got to be the hottest voyeuristic sex scene I have ever read. They knew what they wanted out of each other and they did everything possible to see that they got their happily ever after. The feelings they have for each other just couldn't be denied any longer and it came together into an awesome novella.
Loved Moonlight Menage. Tria is a strega seer. At 18 her first kiss with her mate Nic, a lucani wolf shifter, triggered a vision of his death, and any touch to him his since has triggered the same vision. Duke, lucani wolf, is Nic's best friend and also Tria's mate. While Duke is a null to her visions she can't take him without Nic. So they have remained seperated for years. When Nic is nearly killed and Duke badly injured on an assignment, Tria agrees to care for them while they recover. Nic has a plan to end their seperation, but has has to overcome Tria's fear and Dukes feeling of rejection. A very steamy and emotional story.
